WHAT IS RF SCANNING?
RF Scanning can be used for a number of solutions as described in this section. For example, using RF scanning as part of the Warehouse Management System (WMS), individual products and locations are identified with bar codes. Operators use RF scanners to read the bar codes and transfer product information, quantities and location information directly into the WMS via wireless network. With SAP and other applications, the communication can be two-way so that the warehouse operation can be instructed to select a quantity of stock from a specified location in the warehouse.
